Google will be performing maintenance on their Channel API, September 7th, 2017 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (PDT), in preparation for the deprecation of the Channel API and the switch to their new platform Firebase on October 31, 2017.
For our gPanel and gScholar customers, this maintenance will affect all actions & calls made within that time frame, as they both utilize the Channel API to perform a majority of functions for the features we offer within these tools. Not to worry though, as we are taking this time to perform our own maintenance in preparation of the upcoming switch to Firebase for both gPanel and gScholar.
For our customers who have created their own custom applications utilizing the Channel API, we advise you to look into preparing for the deprecation and to prepare for moving your own application to the Firebase platform. Your own applications will be affected by the scheduled maintenance, so we also advise to prepare for that as well.
We appreciate your patience with us through this upcoming outage, we will continue to monitor for any new or updated information regarding this maintenance window to ensure customers utilizing our tool(s) are aware. So customers can plan accordingly as well for this outage window.
